Ping Pong in Schipluiden

Schipluiden, a village in the Westland region, offers five free outdoor table tennis tables spread across its streets. Agnes Croesinklaan and Keenenburgweg sit in different parts of the village, while Sint Maartensregtplein gives the towns central square its own public table, a fitting spot given how squares often double as community gathering points in Dutch villages. Rijksstraatweg and Praam add two further tables, rounding out a set thats spread fairly evenly rather than concentrated on any single street. All five are free and outdoor, with no booking needed, fitting the quiet, agricultural character of Westland, a region better known for its greenhouses than for nightlife. As elsewhere in the Netherlands, expect the tables to see the most use from spring through early autumn, tapering off once the colder months set in. Because Schipluiden is small, none of the five tables are far from each other, so its easy to check the square first and simply walk to one of the other streets if a game is already underway there.
