Ping Pong in Maastricht

Maastricht's four tracked tables are unusually well distributed for a mid-sized Dutch city, touching the east side at Oranjeplein, the west at Antoon Van Elenstraat, the center at Heksenstraat, and the Wolder area via Heukelommerweg. That spread means visitors staying anywhere near the historic center or in the surrounding neighborhoods are likely within reach of a free outdoor table. None of the four charge a fee, keeping with the everyday, public nature of Dutch street table tennis. Maastricht's location in the far south of the Netherlands gives it a slightly milder climate than much of the country, though outdoor play still concentrates in the spring-to-autumn months. Since the four tables sit roughly on the compass points of the city, a visitor exploring Maastricht-centrum could reasonably also swing by Wolder or the west side without much of a detour. All four remain free and unstaffed, so there is nothing to book and nobody to check in with before playing.
