Table Tennis in Bilbao

Bilbao integrates table tennis into its urban fabric through a series of public plazas and promenades. The Rafael Sánchez Mazas Promenade Tables and the Evaristo Churruca Quay Tables provide excellent locations for urban play with plenty of foot traffic. For those preferring neighborhood park settings, the Parque Larreagaburu Table and the San Ignacio Paved Park Tables offer a more contained, communal feel. Most tables are free to use and located in highly visible public zones. While the Calle Cortés Tables in San Francisco provide an indoor (covered) option, the majority of the city's assets are outdoors. Because of Bilbao’s moderate climate, these tables see regular use throughout most of the year. The best time to visit is in the mid-morning or late afternoon, as the midday sun can be intense during the summer months. There is no official booking system, so simply bring your own equipment and be prepared to join a rotation if the tables are occupied by locals.
